Friends of Music and the Arts in the Scarsdale Schools is a volunteer-run, not for profit, community organization dedicated to supporting, promoting, and enhancing the music and arts programs in all the Scarsdale, New York schools, from K-12.   

• Provide funding and support programs for arts and music purchases, as requested by the faculty
   
• Maintain positive relationships with the faculty and administration and stay in touch with parent needs in order to serve as your voice at district budget and planning meetings
   
• Provide academic and achievement awards to outstanding SHS musicians and artists
   
• Actively host and promote music and art events in the community
