National Honors Orchestra SHS will be well represented at the All-National Honors, All-State and Area All-State music festivals during the 2013-14 school year. Aron Szanto has the high honor of being selected as a cellist for the National Honors Orchestra. The All-National Honors Ensembles represent the top performing high school musicians in the United States. In October of 2013, the ensembles will perform in Nashville, Tennessee.
All-State honorees
Our All-State honorees include Cailey Martin, Voice; Rebecca Primoff, Voice; Maleeha Chida, Violin; and Connor Wolfe, Euphonium.
All-State Alternates include Joshua Kaufman, Mallets; Andrew Starr, Cello; and, Caroline Teicher, Jazz Piano. The 2013-14 All-State Festival will be held in Rochester in December.

Our Orchestra Area All-State participants include Maleeha Chida, Alejandro De La Garza, Alexander First, Caroline Huh, Finbar Kantor, Zubin Koticha, Steven Lewis, Charlie Rubin, Anil Sindhwani, Caroline Teicher, and Cameron Wong. String Orchestra participants include Isra Ameen, Adam Amron, Helen Clapp, Rachel Haber, Benjamin Holmes, Krsna Kothari, Bryant Lo, Audrey Nadler, Nicholas Politi, Talia Schulman, Andrew Starr, Maya Subakrishna, and Marisa Wong. Chorus participants include Zoe Berg, Samuel Kaplan, Taylor Lonner, Cailey Martin, Michaela Primoff, and Rebecca Primoff. Band participants include Philip Brand, Cindy Du, Bruce Gao, Samantha Kapner, Joshua Kaufman, Alexandra Lonner, Sarah Pullman, Eliot Sernau, and Connor Wolfe.
