FMA Supports Launch of New "Practice Partners" Program--Peer Mentorship for Scarsdale Student Musicians

Practice Partners is a new student-to-student music mentorship program for Scarsdale's 3rd-8th grade musicians by our high school's outstanding instrumentalists. SHS student musicians will work one-on-one over ZOOM to guide younger Scarsdale students through school repertoire, scales and fundamental music theory, and provide supplemental materials to develop emerging skills. There is no fee to participate!

The program aims to inspire music-making, build bonds across grade levels, and strengthen the Scarsdale student music community.

Music & Arts Students: Show Us What You've Got!

Scarsdale students have talent and FMA is making a video of them in the spotlight! Whether music, art, or drama’s their thing, here’s a chance to share their creativity and come together as a community.

Upload a photo or a brief video of your student in action this week—creating artwork, practicing or performing instrumental music, singing, dancing or acting. (30-60 seconds of video is great. 1080p HD video resolution only, please!) We will edit it into a fun video to share with the community, and post it on FMA’s website and social media. Details for viewing will be sent once it's completed. All students K-12 are encouraged to participate!

Let’s inspire our students to be creative during this crazy time!
