Is your child an aspiring artist…maybe they just love art class? We’re looking for parents to help explore ideas for new FMA initiatives for Scarsdale art students and to build community. Sign Up for March Practice Partners

FMA members will receive the signup link for March Practice Partners on Wednesday 2/16. To sign up your 3rd-8th grade Scarsdale student for free music practice sessions next month with our high school's outstanding instrumentalists, be sure to join FMA by the deadline--Mon 2/14.

Practice Partners is FMA's popular student-to-student music mentorship program. Fabulous SHS student volunteers from the Tri-M Music Honors Society and Music Education Club work one-on-one over Zoom to guide and inspire our younger students. 

Scarsdale Students Liven Up the 'Dale

FMA arranged for Scarsdale High School student musicians to perform in the Village this weekend. Diners and shoppers enjoyed great music and good vibes from a jazz combo and violin duo. Students were thrilled to be able to perform for a live audience in our community again! 

Many thanks to the Scarsdale Business Alliance (SBA) for welcoming the students in the beloved Village tent.

We'll be back with a range of student musicians next Sunday, 11/21, from 12:00 to 1:30pm. Stop by to enjoy the free concert and support our student performers.

Support Our Students - Join FMA Today!

We're so excited for our kids to be back together in their school music ensembles, art studios and drama productions! Our district's outstanding arts program is one of the crown jewels of a Scarsdale education. It provides opportunities for students to connect, find self-expression, and cultivate well-being. 

As the nonprofit parent booster group for visual and performing arts in Scarsdale schools, FMA|Friends of Music & the Arts connected and supported our student artists and musicians in new and exciting ways last year in response to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. From producing our student talent video to launching Practice Partners, FMA's new student-to-student music mentorship program, FMA introduced creative initiatives to meet students needs and build community. 

Please take a moment now to renew your FMA membership for the school year so we can continue our work. We rely on family donations...and our students rely on us!
